Will Medicare pay for a stairlift?
Medicare does not presently cover stairlifts. Unfortunately, they do not consider stairlifts a medical necessity.

Will my stairlift work when the power is out?
Yes, your stairlift is equipped with its own power source. And will work up to 3 – 4 cycles. A cycle is 1 – up and 1- down.

How long does a stairlift take to install?
Approximately 1.5 – 2.5 hours.

What is the warranty on the Acorn stairlift?
Your Acorn stairlift has a lifetime warranty on the motor and gearbox, lifetime warranty on the rail system, and one year warranty on all other components.

Can I take my stairlift with me if I move from my current home?
Yes, Northcoast Mobility can very easily remove and reinstall the Acorn stairlift at your new home at a reasonable fee!
